I've bought every meal plan on the internet. I ate almost none of them.

- Every meal plan I bought had food I'd never eat, so I kept thinking I was the problem.
- Being picky doesn't mean you can't eat healthier. The plan just has to start with you.
- So I built one that does: Picky Girl HQ.
You know the moment. You finally buy the meal plan, open the PDF, and start scrolling.
Skip. Skip. Is that cottage cheese? Skip. Mushrooms. Skip. A "power bowl" with six ingredients I'd have to buy just for that one bowl. Skip.
By page four you've found maybe two recipes you'd actually make, and one of them is basically toast. Then you close it, and you feel a little bit like the problem is you.
I have a graveyard of PDFs
I'm not exaggerating. I have downloaded so many recipe guides. Bought so many PDFs. Saved the boards, screenshotted the what-I-eat-in-a-day videos, and told myself this one would be different.
It never was. There was always an ingredient I don't like, a texture I can't do, a recipe I was never going to touch. Nobody building those guides was building them for someone like me.
So I'd eat the same three things, feel guilty that I wasn't doing it right, and buy the next guide.
Picky is not a character flaw
Every time I talk about this, my DMs fill up with women saying same. The texture thing. The "I'll eat chicken, but only like this" thing. The "nothing can touch" thing.
Being picky doesn't mean you can't eat healthier. It just means the plan has to start with you instead of a recipe. Every guide I ever bought got that backwards. They hand you the food and hope you like it. I wanted the opposite: start with what I already eat, and build from there.

So I built the thing I wanted
When I started playing with Claude (the AI app), I realized I could finally build the guide I'd been looking for. One that only gives you food you'll actually eat. That turned into Picky Girl HQ, and I use it every single day.
First, it gets to know you. A quick tap-through quiz builds your Picky Girl Profile: what you like, what you won't touch, the textures that are a hard no, and the targets you want to hit. Then you just talk to it like a friend who happens to know a lot about food:
- "I'm hungry." Something to eat right now, made from foods you already like.
- "I'm going to McDonald's." What to order that still works for your day. No lecture.
- "Decide for me." For the nights your brain is done. It just picks.
- "Make it healthier." Your favorite meal, in a version that still tastes like the thing you wanted.
- "Finish my day." It looks at what you've eaten and helps you fill in the rest.
- "Plan my week." A 7-day plan, a shopping list, and printable cards for the fridge.
It gives estimated calories and macros for everything. If you like to track, they're there. If you don't, ignore them.
And you can make it completely yours. Hate onions? Tell it. Only eat chicken if it's shredded? Tell it. Want more protein, fewer dishes, nothing over ten minutes? Tell it that too. It remembers, and you can update it whenever your tastes change.
Something I'm into right now: my two-ingredient morning protein shake. Simple enough for any morning, and yes, it passes the picky test. (Affiliate links on that page.)
Could you build this yourself?
Honestly? Probably. But I spent hours and hours testing it, breaking it, fixing it, and eating the food. And a lot of you have never even opened Claude, which is completely fine. It's set up to be as easy as possible, with instructions and a video, and it works on a free Claude account. I just want to save you the time.
Tell me: what's the one food every meal plan includes that you will never, ever eat? Mine is seafood. I won't eat it. Unless it's fried.
Quick note: I'm not a doctor, and the calories and macros are estimates. Your targets are yours to set, ideally with your provider.
Healthy eating, built from your list.
